I am Dr Luke Felton, a Trainee Sport & Exercise Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) with 10 years’ experience of working within the field of sport psychology (research, teaching, and applied practice).

I enjoy working in the field of sport psychology because I value providing athletes of all ages and competitive level the opportunity to understand themselves better and to enhance their well-being and performance. Sport psychology is a vital element of an athletes support system and I want to make sure as many people as possible can access this support.

I believe I standout as a coach due to my experience in, and approach to, sport psychology. As a working academic I have access to the latest research advancements which mean my work with athletes is always guided by the current evidence. My approach is built around a client-centred philosophy in which my core values are to help clients enhance their strengths to achieve their potential. Within the philosophy I apply and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach to working with clients, with the focus being on helping them to develop their psychological flexibility.
