My name is Simon, and I am a passionate boxing coach with a genuine love for the sport and a strong desire to help others reach their full potential. I have been involved in the boxing world for over 20 years, and my experience has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the sport's technical aspects, as well as the physical and mental demands required of athletes.
What I truly enjoy about being a boxing coach is the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, helping them develop not only their boxing skills but also their self-confidence, discipline, and resilience. There is immense satisfaction in witnessing a boxer's progress and seeing them achieve their goals, whether it be competing at the amateur or professional level or simply becoming a better, more focused version of themselves.
What sets me apart as a coach is my ability to connect with each of my athletes on a personal level, understanding their unique strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. I believe that by fostering a strong coach-athlete relationship, I can better tailor my training programs to suit each individual's needs and aspirations. Additionally, I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and stay updated with the latest training methods and techniques in order to provide my athletes with the most effective training experience possible.

England Boxing Level 2 Coach, Advanced Level 2 Personal Trainer
In my coaching sessions, my clients will be participating in a variety of activities designed to improve their boxing skills, physical fitness, and mental toughness. Here's a general outline of what clients can expect: Warm-up and stretching: Clients will begin each session with a dynamic warm-up and stretching routine to prepare their bodies for the training ahead and minimize the risk of injury. Technique and fundamentals: I will focus on teaching and refining the essential boxing techniques, such as proper stance, footwork, punching mechanics, and defensive maneuvers. This will be done through a combination of shadowboxing, partner drills, and focus mitt work. Conditioning and strength training: To help clients build the necessary strength, endurance, and agility for boxing, I will incorporate various conditioning exercises into their training regimen, including circuit training, plyometrics, and sport-specific resistance exercises. Sparring and situational training: As clients become more proficient in their skills, I will introduce controlled sparring and situational drills to help them apply their techniques in a realistic and dynamic setting, while emphasizing the importance of safety and sportsmanship. Strategy and mental preparation: Alongside the physical aspects of boxing, I will work with clients on developing fight strategies and improving their mental resilience, focusing on aspects such as visualization, self-talk, and stress management. My coaching approach will be tailored to each individual's needs, abilities, and goals. I will use a combination of clear instruction, constructive feedback, and positive reinforcement to help clients build confidence and improve their skills.
